What each size step adds
Each row subtracts one size's average from the next. Sizing up a soda adds about 30 cents per step. Blended coffee and smoothies add more than a dollar on the first step.

French Fries are not included here; their size steps are on the fries and sides page. Each figure is the difference between two separate averages, and calories are not shown because none are verified on this page.
The first frappé size step costs about 4.5 times the first soda step (1.31 ÷ 0.29).
These steps are differences between averages, not prices any one restaurant charges. Each size is averaged on its own, so the set of sampled locations behind a Small figure may not match the set behind the Large. Read a step as an approximate pattern.
Two drinks are excluded because their averages are not reliable for size comparison. The Pumpkin Latte's Small average ($4.79) is higher than its Medium ($3.99). Reduced Sugar Berry Blast with Sprite Zero Sugar averages are inflated by one location that listed $99.00 for every size. Both appear, with flags, on the coffee and drinks pages.
McFlurry: Mini to Regular
McFlurry sizes are Mini and Regular, not Small, Medium and Large. In this sample, the step from Mini to Regular was larger than any single drink size step.
The Regular averaged roughly $2.30 more than the Mini (same channel and window). Flavors and seasonal versions are on the McFlurry page.
Regional and team-branded frozen drinks
Several frozen drinks in the dataset carry sports-team or state names. We treat them as location-specific listings, not items on the national U.S. menu.

The dataset does not record which locations listed these drinks or for how long. We could not verify them against the official U.S. menu, so their presence in the sample says nothing about availability elsewhere. Check your restaurant in the official app.
Sugar and calorie figures
Drink and dessert nutrition changes a lot with size, and sweetened coffee, shakes and smoothies differ widely from black coffee or diet soda. This hub shows prices only. Calorie and sugar figures appear on this site only when taken from official U.S. McDonald's product pages with a recorded check date.
The nutrition explorer lists every drink and dessert with its verified figures, or marks them Not verified. A missing value never counts as low sugar or low calories in its filters. A lower sugar figure on one drink does not make it a healthy choice overall.

How much is a small soda at McDonald's?
A small Coke averaged $2.14 on sampled DoorDash delivery menus from Aug 19 to Sep 29, 2026. A listing with no size named averaged $2.13. In-store prices can be lower than delivery listings. Other sodas are on the drinks page.
Is it cheaper to size up a soda or a frappé?
In this sample, Coke rose $0.29 from Small to Medium, while the Caramel Frappé rose $1.31. Both figures are differences between delivery averages, so treat them as approximate.
How much is a vanilla cone?
Price not verified. The dataset has no vanilla cone listing. The desserts page explains what we could and could not confirm.
Are the team-branded frozen drinks sold everywhere?
We could not verify that. Drinks named for teams or states appeared in the delivery sample. We list them as regional or limited rather than as national menu items.
Why are these prices higher than at my restaurant?
The figures come from DoorDash delivery menus, which can differ from in-store and app prices. Prices also vary by restaurant. The pricing methodology explains how the averages were made.
