What it costs to size up
Shakes and smoothies step up in price differently. Shakes add roughly the same amount at each step. Smoothies make their biggest jump from Small to Medium.

Do the three shake flavors cost the same?
At Small and Large, yes: the averages match exactly. At Medium they differ by no more than 3 cents, which is within normal location-to-location variation.
Is a smoothie cheaper than a shake?
On these averages, yes, at every size. A Small smoothie is $0.73 less than a Small shake. At Medium and Large the gap falls to $0.19–$0.23.
Are smoothies healthier than shakes?
