Corrections Policy and Log

Errors on Mac Menu Prices can be reported through the contact page. Each report is checked against the shared dataset and the official sources. A confirmed substantive error is fixed in one place and recorded in the public log below. No corrections have been logged yet.

How to report an error

Use the Contact Mac Menu Prices page and choose a correction as the topic. The contact page states whether online submission is working. If it says submission is unavailable, no report can be received through the site yet. Nothing on this site will show a confirmation for a message that was not delivered.

  1. Name the page and the figureGive the page address and the exact item, variant or size, such as “Big Mac Meal, Large” on the Big Mac page.
  2. Say what you think is wrongGive the number or statement and what you believe it should be.
  3. Give your evidence and its contextFor a price, say where you saw it: the restaurant, the channel (in-store, app, drive-thru or a delivery service) and the date. For nutrition, allergens or availability, link the official U.S. McDonald's page you used.
  4. Send it through the contact pageDo not include receipt survey codes, payment details or account passwords. We do not need them and will not use them.

What counts as an error

  • Wrong figure

A price, calorie or nutrient value that does not match its recorded source, or the arithmetic built on it.

  • Wrong serving

A number attached to the wrong size, piece count, flavor, or to the item price when it should be the meal price.

  • Misleading context

A delivery average presented as if it were an in-store, national or official price.

  • Outdated status

An offer shown as current after it has ended, or an item listed as available when official pages say otherwise.

Editorial note

A price that differs from your local restaurant is not by itself an error. Our current prices are averages of DoorDash delivery listings across sampled U.S. locations, observed Aug 19–Sep 29, 2026. In-store and app prices are often different. The pricing methodology explains why. A single local receipt is still useful as a report of how one restaurant differs, but it does not replace a multi-location average.

What happens to a report

Every report goes through the same review, described in the editorial policy:

  1. Kept privateA report is not published, quoted or added to any page while it is unreviewed. Reports that are never confirmed stay private.
  2. Checked against the recordWe compare the reported figure with the shared data record behind the page and with the source that record cites.
  3. Fixed at the source of truthEach figure is stored once and reused by every table, item page and tool. A confirmed fix to that record therefore updates every page that shows it, including the nutrition explorer, compare tool and meal builder.
  4. Logged if substantiveA confirmed change that alters a number, a serving, an availability status or the meaning of a statement is added to the log below with the date of the fix.

What is not logged

Spelling fixes, layout changes and new observations added through the normal data process are not listed as corrections. A rebuild of the site does not change any page's update date. Only a substantive edit does.

Corrections log

Confirmed substantive corrections, newest first. Each entry will give the date of the fix, the page, the old and new value, and the reason.

Known data issues

These are not corrections. They are anomalies already visible in the price dataset. They are disclosed on the relevant pages and are not treated as reliable comparisons.

ListingVariant / sizeAverageIssueStatus
Reduced Sugar Berry Blast with Sprite Zero SugarSmall$51.60The source records $99.00 at one location for every size. That value stays in the average and inflates it.Not reliable
40 pc. Chicken McNuggets & 2 Medium FriesBundle$15.59Lower than the 40 pc. box alone ($18.25). The two averages likely come from different location samples. Not reliable
Pumpkin LatteSmall$4.79Higher than the Medium ($3.99) and Large ($4.39) averages. The sizes were likely averaged over different locations. Not reliable
