What the contact form collects and why
The form on the contact page asks for the details needed to reply and to understand your message. Typically that means your name, an email address and the message text. A correction report may also name the page, the item and the figure you believe is wrong.
How we use it
- To reply to your question or request.
- To check a reported error against our sources and, if it is confirmed, to fix the page and record the change on the corrections log.
What we do not do with it
- We do not publish your name or email address. The corrections log describes the change, not the person who reported it.
- We do not add you to a mailing list.
- Unreviewed correction reports stay private.
Please do not send receipt codes, payment details, passwords or health information. The site does not need them. If your message concerns an order, a refund or a restaurant visit, contact McDonald's directly. We cannot act on restaurant matters.
The form is delivered by our website platform, which processes submissions on our behalf. If submissions are not configured, the contact page says so plainly rather than showing a false confirmation.
Analytics and advertising
The site is built so that analytics and advertising are disabled by default and only run when an operator explicitly configures them.
- Analytics: not active. No visitor-measurement script is loaded.
- Advertising: not active. No ad network code is loaded and no ad slots are shown.
If either service is turned on later, this page will be updated first. It will name the provider, list the cookies or identifiers involved and explain any choices you have, including consent options where the law requires them. Any ads will appear in clearly labelled boxes, separate from the menu tables.
Cookies and similar technologies
With analytics and advertising off, the site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Search and filter features work from the page itself and from the web address, for example a search query in the URL. They do not need a cookie to remember you.
Your browser may still store ordinary cached files such as the stylesheet so pages load faster. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.
Third parties
Hosting and delivery
Like any website, the servers that deliver these pages receive technical request data. This includes your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. This data is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose errors. Our hosting and platform providers may keep it in their logs under their own retention practices. We do not use it to build profiles of visitors.
Links to other websites
Many pages link to official McDonald's pages for nutrition, allergens, the restaurant locator, the app and the receipt survey. Some also mention DoorDash as the source of our price data. These are plain links. We do not embed those services, share your information with them, or receive data from them about you. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.

Children
The site is a general-audience reference and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us a message, contact us and we will delete it.
Retention and security
We keep contact messages only as long as needed to answer them and to document confirmed corrections. Correction records keep the substance of the change, not the sender's contact details. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We limit what we collect so there is less to protect.
Privacy requests
You may ask us what information we hold from a message you sent, or ask us to correct or delete it. Send the request through the contact page and say that it concerns privacy. Depending on where you live, U.S. state privacy laws may give you further rights. We will respond to any verifiable request within the time those laws allow.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever a service that handles visitor information is added, removed or changed. We will not change the page date just because the site was rebuilt. For the rules that govern use of the site itself, see the terms of use.
