Short answer
If a receipt has a survey invitation, it names the website, the code to enter and the terms for any offer. Follow the receipt, not a search result or a social-media post. The receipt is the only document that describes your particular survey, and it is the only one we rely on here.
Not every receipt carries an invitation. Whether yours does depends on the restaurant and the order. If yours has none, there is no survey to take for that visit.
How to take the survey from your receipt
- Find the survey invitation on the receiptIt is usually near the bottom. Look for a web address, a survey or receipt code, and any deadline or offer wording.
- Type the printed web address yourselfEnter it in your browser exactly as printed. Avoid ads and look-alike links. Check that the address in your browser bar matches the receipt letter for letter.
- Enter the code from the receiptType the code only into the official survey page. Some versions also ask for details such as the store number, date or time of visit, all printed on the receipt.
- Answer the questions about that visitThe questions cover the order and the restaurant experience. Answer about the visit on the receipt, not about McDonald's in general.
- Record anything shown at the endIf the survey shows a validation code, write it on the receipt straight away. Keep the receipt, because it usually has to be shown with that code.
- Redeem only as the receipt terms describeAny offer, its expiry and the participating restaurants are set by the terms on the receipt. Ask staff at the restaurant whether they accept it before you order.
Eligibility and deadlines
Eligibility rules are printed on the receipt itself. They can cover the time allowed to complete the survey, a purchase requirement, limits per person or per visit, and age requirements. Because these terms are set per receipt and can change, we do not restate fixed numbers here. Where the receipt and any website disagree, rely on the receipt and the official survey site.
We have not collected a sample of receipts to document typical deadlines or offers. Any figure you see quoted elsewhere, such as a specific number of days or a specific free item, may describe a different restaurant or an older receipt.
Offers vary and are not guaranteed
A survey offer, if there is one, is described in the receipt's terms. Some receipts mention an offer. Others only invite feedback. Restaurant participation can vary, and an offer can expire. This site cannot promise that any survey leads to a reward.
For deals that come through the app, see our guide to McDonald's app ordering and MyMcDonald's Rewards. For promotions we have tracked, with their verification status, see the McDonald's deals page. The receipt survey is a separate program and does not add rewards points unless official terms say it does.
We never collect receipt codes
Mac Menu Prices has no survey form and no code checker. It never asks for receipt codes, validation codes, photos of receipts or payment details. If a page claiming to be us asks for any of these, it is not us. Our privacy policy describes the limited information this site handles.
Scam and look-alike warnings
- A site whose address differs from the one printed on your receipt, even by one letter.
- Requests for a card number, bank details, a password or a fee to “unlock” a reward.
- Messages, texts or social posts promising gift cards or large prizes for a McDonald's survey.
- Pages that ask you to install an app or browser extension before starting.
- Pages that ask for your full receipt code but are not the official survey site.
If you entered payment details on a suspicious site, contact your card issuer. You can report fraud to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission at ReportFraud.ftc.gov.
Problems with an order or the survey
We cannot fix survey errors or order complaints. For issues with a visit, use McDonald's official U.S. contact page, or speak with the restaurant on the receipt. If something on this page is wrong or out of date, please use our corrections process.
